The award winning reporter began his career as a reporter at the Toronto Star in 1967 and stayed with the paper for the next 25 years. During his tenure he served as the borough editor and city editor among many other posts. His most notable accolade was the title of chief news editor, a position he held until his untimely demise. In addition to his time at the paper, he has authored several books and articles.
